About Alex

From print to the browser

I started in print and graphic identity, where type scale, margins, and paper decided most of the outcome. Moving into web design let me apply those same habits to screens that resize, reflow, and load one line at a time.

Today my practice is dedicated to web architecture: page structure, content rhythm, and the responsive layouts that carry a project from concept to a working site.

Approach

Clarity first, then proportion, then less.

I remove what a page does not need so the content and its hierarchy can carry the design. Every interface decision should be explainable in one sentence.

Workflow

Four steps, in order

01

Typographic foundation

I set the type scale and content rhythm first, so hierarchy is settled before any layout begins.

02

Wireframing

I sketch page structure and reading order, testing how sections and content blocks relate to one another.

03

Layout system

I build a consistent grid, spacing, and component set that holds the design together across every page.

04

Responsive launch

I check each layout at desktop and mobile widths, then refine details before the site goes live.
